27. Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.

We worship the author of the Bible, not the Bible, and this compels us to seek the benefit of our neighbor over endless bible studies.

Ecclesiastes 12:12-13

12. My son, beware of anything beyond these. Of making many books there is no end, and much study is a weariness of the flesh.

3. for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.

Philippians 3:12-14

12. Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own.

13. Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,

14. I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Empower women

2. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God, she, was hovering over the waters.

Judges 4:4

4. Now Deborah, a prophet, the wife of Lappidoth, was leading Israel at that time.

Empower the outcast

Deuteronomy 10:18-19

18. He executes justice for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the sojourner, giving him food and clothing.

19. Love the sojourner, therefore, for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt.
