All of Life is Worship

Matthew 16:25

25. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.

God cares about how we spend and save our money, and what our priorities in life are.

Matthew 6:33

33. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Matthew 6:24

24. "No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.

God does not need your money, your help, or your worship. He wants a relationship with you.

Psalms 50:12-15

12. "If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world and its fullness are mine.

13. Do I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of goats?

14. Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and perform your vows to the Most High,

15. and call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me."

Acts 17:24-25

24. The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man,

25. nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything.

Radical partnership

Jeremiah 29:7

7. Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.”

Matthew 5:43-45

43. "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.'

44. But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

45. so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

The mundane is sacred

Jeremiah 29:5-6

5. “Build houses and settle down; plant gardens and eat what they produce.

6. Marry and have sons and daughters; find wives for your sons and give your daughters in marriage, so that they too may have sons and daughters. Increase in number there; do not decrease.

Romans 12:1

1. I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.

God cares about your work, your art, your craftsmanship

Exodus 31:1-5

1. Then the Lord said to Moses,

2. “See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah,

3. and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills—

4. to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze,

5. to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of crafts.

God cares about mentorship

Exodus 31:6

6. Moreover, I have appointed Oholiab son of Ahisamak, of the tribe of Dan, to help him. Also I have given ability to all the skilled workers to make everything I have commanded you:
